Reflection on Amal Totkay
“Developing a growth mindset will teach you to embrace failure and find new ways of succeeding” Professor Carol Dweck’s theory of Growth mindset.
The 5 tips mentioned in growth mindset Toolkit have a great impact in all our lives. For me these tips are extraordinary as they are complete in their way as the first one talks about the conversation we do with ourselves and its impact on our working. Second is to get out of our comfort zone means to think out of the box, come out, struggle and grow. Third is to always make new habits. This is one of the traits of a growth mindset person. Fourth is to ask people about your idea and ask for their suggestions. Fifth is to be confident even if your work is not something you think is capable of taking you to new heights. You should be confident.
All of the above plays an equal role in developing our minds but I think to get out of your comfort zone and work hard makes this even more challenging. Also, engaging with people and asking for their advice opens up your mind and enhance your rough draft.
Above all I’ve personally starting taking peoples’ advice on one of my small startup which is not working right now but I hope it will soon reach to new heights as I am engaging with people and looking into their ideas which are more relevant than my own ideas. Implementing them with time will surely lead to success some day.
We must keep our eyes and ears open and grab every opportunity in life to make our lives better. These 5 tips will stay with me forever and I hope I get to explore all of these to make my future bright. ❤
